The planetary principles
Archetypes
Ten planetary archetypes form the alphabet of Numinous Realm's cosmological system. Each planet embodies a fundamental principle of human experience — a force that shapes psyche, culture, and history.
See how these archetypes combine in aspect pairs.
01–05
Personal planets
- 01
The Self
Sun
Identity, vitality, purpose
The central luminary — seat of identity, creative will, and conscious purpose. The Sun represents who you are becoming.
- 02
The Soul
Moon
Emotion, instinct, memory
The inner life — habitual responses, emotional needs, and the ancestral body. The Moon is what you need to feel safe.
- 03
The Messenger
Mercury
Mind, communication, exchange
The mediating intelligence — language, perception, trade, and trickster wit. Mercury connects and translates.
- 04
The Lover
Venus
Beauty, desire, value
The principle of attraction — aesthetics, pleasure, relationship, and what we find worth having.
- 05
The Warrior
Mars
Drive, conflict, assertion
The activating impulse — desire in action, courage, aggression, and the will to survive and compete.
06–10
Transpersonal archetypes
- 06
The King
Jupiter
Expansion, meaning, abundance
The principle of growth and synthesis. Jupiter seeks the bigger picture — philosophy, faith, prosperity, and the urge to find meaning in experience. Where Jupiter touches, things get larger: ambitions swell, horizons widen, and the mundane reaches for the mythic.
- 07
The Architect
Saturn
Structure, time, limitation
The lord of necessity. Saturn draws the boundary between aspiration and reality, imposing form, discipline, and consequence. Every enduring structure — from bone to law to legacy — bears Saturn's signature. Its transits mark the rites of passage where we confront what is non-negotiable.
- 08
The Awakener
Uranus
Revolution, genius, liberation
The lightning bolt of the zodiac. Uranus shatters crystallized forms to liberate what has been suppressed — individual genius, technological breakthrough, and the radical demand for freedom. Its cycles correspond to revolutions, paradigm shifts, and the sudden eruption of the unprecedented.
- 09
The Mystic
Neptune
Dissolution, imagination, transcendence
The oceanic principle — dissolving boundaries between self and other, real and imagined, sacred and profane. Neptune governs dreams, art, spiritual longing, collective fantasy, and the slow erosion of everything that claims to be permanent. Its influence can elevate to ecstasy or dissolve into delusion.
- 10
The Transformer
Pluto
Power, death-rebirth, the underworld
The evolutionary engine. Pluto governs the cycle of death and regeneration — compulsive depth, hidden power, mass movements, and the slow tectonic forces that destroy and recreate civilizations. Where Pluto operates, nothing remains untransformed. Its transits strip away the inessential to reveal what is indestructible.
