- TransitThe current real-time position of a planet as it moves through the sky, especially in relation to a natal chart. Transits are the primary timing mechanism in astrology — they describe which archetypal themes are being activated now.
- Personal PlanetsThe Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, and Mars — the five fastest-moving bodies. Their rapid cycles correspond to individual traits, daily rhythms, and personal development rather than collective or generational patterns.
- Outer PlanetsJupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto — the five planets beyond the personal sphere. Their slow orbits mean their aspects define generational and civilizational themes rather than individual psychology alone.
