Natal Chart
A map of the sky at the exact moment and location of a person's birth, showing the positions of all ten planets. The natal chart is the foundational document of astrological interpretation — a symbolic blueprint of an individual's archetypal makeup.
Related terms
- TransitThe current real-time position of a planet as it moves through the sky, especially in relation to a natal chart. Transits are the primary timing mechanism in astrology — they describe which archetypal themes are being activated now.
- SynastryThe comparison of two natal charts to assess relational dynamics. Synastry reveals which archetypal forces are activated between two people — where their charts harmonize, where they clash, and where they catalyze mutual growth.
- ProgressionA symbolic time-unfolding technique where each day after birth corresponds to a year of life. Progressions reveal the slow internal maturation of the natal chart — the psyche's own developmental clock, independent of external transits.
- ArchetypeA universal pattern of meaning embodied by a planetary principle. In the Numinous Realm system, each of the ten planets represents an archetype — a fundamental force shaping psyche, culture, and history.
