DISPATCHES FROM THE FRONTLINE
It’s been a couple of months since our last newsletter because Abeer and I (and Numinous Realm along with us) were in the midst of a major move from New York City back to California. We packed our quaint little Gramercy studio into a minivan and drove across the country, returning to where it all began: the San Francisco Bay Area.
When we first moved to New York from California in 2023, Numinous Realm was launching a clothing line called Integrate This. To be in one of the world's great fashion capitals during this period was, no doubt, a profound blessing.
The move from the beautiful coast of Monterey Bay to the concrete jungle of New York City happened under the Saturn-Uranus world transit of 2020-2023, which archetypally signifies a sudden break from the past and the forging of a new foundation. And that is exactly what the move entailed: a rupture from the grounded, familiar world we had built on the West Coast into the electrified uncertainty and relentless momentum of the East Coast.
In the three years we spent in New York, we were molded, destroyed, and resurrected. For that transformative experience, we remain spiritually indebted to this formidable city. It is etched into our souls and woven into the aura of Numinous Realm.
Our journey home took us about two weeks, and we unknowingly followed the great westward path across America: from New York through Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana and Illinois, eventually arriving in Missouri, the Gateway to the West.
So much of American history was felt and embodied during this trip. While driving through the tallgrass prairies of Kansas, we listened to stories of the pioneers who ventured forth in search of a new world, across these lands long inhabited by Indigenous peoples whose cultures were irrevocably altered by their arrival. What had begun as a cross-country drive started to feel like a passage through the American myth itself.
We then snaked through the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, stayed in an old cowboy town in Nevada, and finally arrived beneath the crisp, clear skies of California, greeted by the pristine blue waters of Lake Tahoe, and the buoyant beauty of the Venus-Jupiter alignment that graced the early month of June.
The sweet taste of nostalgia hung in the air as we made our way home, as though, by some deep synchronicity, we had been led back here. Under the unfolding Saturn-Neptune world transit of 2024-2027––an alignment that can signify the end of an era––our homecoming has felt less like a return to the past than a return to the original dream from which Numinous Realm first emerged.
Abeer and I are ecstatic about this next phase of Numinous Realm. We are currently building and broadcasting straight out of our family home. From a Manhattan apartment studio to a Bay Area garage office. Now that is an upgrade!
To be back in California also means returning to a landscape where technology and spirituality have often clashed and converged at the frontier. A threshold we are curious to explore more deeply.
But most of all, we are grateful to be continuing this family business, while living closer to family. After all, that is what makes life meaningful: nourishing the relational matrix that holds us unconditionally.
The adventure deepens, and we feel so fortunate to have you on this ride with us. We are, quite honestly, overflowing with gratitude.

Yes, we have a mission to help usher in the Age of Re-Enchantment. SIGNALS FROM THE ZEITGEIST
There are surely no spoilers when it comes to a myth that has gripped the collective imagination for nearly 2,800 years. Christopher Nolan’s latest film, an adaptation of Homer’s The Odyssey, has generated all kinds of fervor. Most notably, the insistence that it be experienced in one of the few theaters capable of presenting it in 70mm IMAX. Nolan filmed the entire epic with IMAX cameras, promising audiences the fullest possible immersion into Odysseus’s mythic voyage.
The name IMAX itself emerged from the idea of the “maximum image”: a film brought to its greatest possible scale and impact. It therefore felt archetypally poetic that the film was released just as Jupiter—the planet that expands and magnifies whatever it touches—was coming into exact alignment with Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto, amplifying this mini Axial Age configuration.
The Axial Age, a term coined by philosopher Karl Jaspers, refers to the period from the 8th to the 3rd century BCE, when civilizations across China, India, Persia, Judea, and Greece underwent profound spiritual and philosophical transformations, giving rise to figures such as the Buddha, Confucius, Socrates, and Plato. At the heart of this era was an exceptionally rare conjunction of Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto (one that has not occurred since).
Composed in the 8th century BCE, at the dawn of this great turning point, The Odyssey was born. And now, as Jupiter comes into alignment with the outer planets, magnifying their archetypal powers, this ancient story of heroic ingenuity (Uranus), mythic enchantment (Neptune), and deep descent (Pluto) is being rendered through the cutting-edge technology of the 21st century at its maximum possible scale, so that we, the people of 2026, can experience anew the timeless mystery of what it means to be human: to encounter the unknown, undergo transformation, and eventually find our way home.
